Amantra is a hobby cattery, I have been breeding Bengals since 1997. They are fascinating, intelligent cats and beyond beautiful!

I choose my cats not only for excellent markings, rosettes and coats, but also focus on wild "type", health, conformation, temperament and structural correctness.  I work with both brown and snow colors, mainly spotted/rosetted, but sometimes have marble patterned kittens also. My adult breeding cats are all screened  for HCM by a Board Certified Cardiologist, using top of the line Ultrasound and color Doppler. HCM is the most common heart disease in cats of all breeds, including mixes. Parents of each litter are carefully chosen on individual strengths and how I feel they will compliment each other.

It is my strong preference to place my kittens in loving pet homes rather than sell them as breeders. Although I will occasionally place kittens as breeders (usually with friends I know and trust), I feel more assured in most cases that the kitten will have the best life as beloved pet. Because of this you will rarely, if ever, see kittens on this site listed for sale as “Breeder/Show”. This is not because the kittens are not breeder or show quality - in fact many of them are!  I simply rest easier placing them as gorgeous pets. Kittens sold as pets will either be spay/neutered before leaving, or on a contract signed by both myself and the buyer that they will be altered prior to 7 months and never bred. TICA papers aresent once proof of spay/neuter is received.

All kittens are current on vaccines and come with a written health guarantee. I am happy to ship kittens within the continental US, I have never had a problem doing so. We are located in southern California, on the southern border of Kern County, midway between Los Angeles and Bakersfield.
